Is your Remote not working

 Check your remote controller is working OR not 

At present time it is very difficult to leave without entertainment and for that almost in every home

 there is many electronics gadget being use for entertainment then either that is TV , DTH, STB , DVD

 , music system or anything else each gadgets operated through its related Remote controller Specially

 watching TV and its truth that now the time no one wants to operate the things by hand , or we can

 say that everyone get habitual to use his device through Remote controller , even though the all

 operating switches are provided in all devices/Gadget’s front panel some time in side or back side of

 panel , nevertheless  no one wants to use them manually because the manually operated practice has

 been finished or its not wrong if I say that everyone is get little bit lazy .

Some time you noticed that Remote controller is not working then you feel bad because you are not

 able to control you Device and sometime its getting irritating due to of Remote controller not work

 and some time you even Slapped to Remote controller and get happy again as it get start

 working.  what actually the phenomenon behind this lets reveal …….it.

 When you use your Remote controller from many months and due to of long time usage its possibility

 increases  an oxidation or you can say a corrosion layer between Batteries negative side and your

 remote controller spring , where both parts are attached with each other and you are thinking right this

 oxidation creates insulation or in other words you can say creates hindrance to flow electrical current

 properly into the remote controller from the batteries , and some time when you slapped the remote its

 get awaken and start working…actually doing this activity you are removing the corrosion because

 Batteries and spring contacts joints slightly dislocate and make contacts again at some another place

 and you see your remote controller starts working again any smile came on your face…Isn’t it … .

In Another side you must check something else for more confirmation what’s wrong with your Remote controller:

1.    Must check whether battery is dead or being use since many days, then sure its time to

 replace that . Also check batteries should not be leaked. You must know that each battery have 1.5

 Voltage rating mentioned on it and mostly two batteries required to use in every remote , so total

 voltage required 3V and Remote works till the voltage go down to 1.8V (Its depend upon the

 operating voltage rating of microcontroller being used inside the Remote and it may vary company

 to company but 1.6 may be the lowest operating voltage range as optimum current to awaken the

 microcontroller ) 

1.    Check whether some keys of remote controller are not working.  As below every key there is

 Carbon printing which makes contact with the Carbon keys on PCB if this keypad Carbon get

 erased then your Remote keys will not work .

1.    Look whether IR Led is blinking. You must check the IR LED , as you can see at the front side

 of your IR Remote controller you will find a small bulb in technical Language we called it IR LED

 (light emitting diode) we cannot ever see the light through our naked eyes , so for that you can see

 the same through your Mobile camera if light not seems on your mobile screen even after pressing

 any remote keys it means something wrong with Remote controller and its time to replace your

Remote Controller with new one .
