RF Remote:
RF stands for Radio Frequency , these kind of remotes
are easier to use because due to
RF signal property and long distance range , it
can be used from any place because of this
it does not required line of sight mean no need to keep Remote controller in
front of signal
receiving device for operate , as we do in case of IR remote ,
so with the help of RF
remote any electronics device can be operated from any
another room or place also . now a
days many smart TVs and other consumer
electronics gadgets are coming with RF
remotes.
RF Remote control uses the frequencies 315, 434 or 868 MHz and in some cases 2.4Ghz use for
RF Remote controls specially for those Remote which are operated through plug & play with USB
dongle , due to of high frequency it can easily penetrate the walls and gives ease to user to use it ,
RF frequencies are regulated by government as there are many ISM (Industrial , Scientific &
Medical) band and harmonized country to country so only those frequencies can be used for any
product which are license free and comes under ISM band . In addition ones have to pay focus on
product development cost and no doubt RF Remote are costlier than IR types of Remote because of
IC solution and other related supporting components use to make a full RF Remote .
Bluetooth:
Bluetooth Technology is specially developed for short range wireless communication and its
operating Frequency is 2.4GHZ (RF) also comes under free in ISM band . We called its free band
mean no need to take any license to operate any gadgets/ product working using BLE
Technology. Its range typically remain between about 10 meters, if we categorized its other
optional then class-1 ranges Bluetooth goes up to 100mtr .
After developed this Technology it has prominently replace the usage of wire where ever was
used and make it wireless . Some examples where this technology being use is Cordless phones ,
Mobile phones , wireless keyboard & mice , audio systems , smart
watches….etc .
